Leslie+Chris {Downtown Engagement Session}

Well, we all knew it was going to be hot on Sunday when we scheduled this shoot, but we did not know it was going to be the hottest day of the year! Leslie and Chris both work in the Bank of America building downtown, so we decided to start out there (you will notice the building behind them in a few of the shots-great view!).  Unfortunately, it was SO hot, we did not make it much further than the immediate area, and ended up cutting the session short.  But, Leslie and Chris were both such great sports, and managed to look amazing even in the heat! We even managed to sneak a few shots in with their awesome dog Kendall!! You will be seeing more of these two soon, as Leslie won my free bridal shoot giveaway, and I will be doing their wedding in November at Ashton Gardens! Congrats you two, can't wait for the big day! Friday Harbour Domino Tournament

This past Sunday, I had the privelege of taking pictures for Friday Harbour at their Domino Tournament held at 360 Sports Bar on Washington.  Friday Harbour is a local, non-profit organization focused on providing support to caregivers of cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children's Hospital. Their mission is to provide free temporary housing for cancer patients and their caregivers as they seek cancer treatment.  It is an amazing organization, and I was so proud to be even a small part of this event.  Here are a few of the photos, and please check out the website.  www.fridayharbour.org.

Ryder Turns 1!

Well, you may remember Ryder from the family shoot I did with him and his parents downtown about 6 months ago.  Time sure does fly, because now Ryder is about to celebrate his first birthday!!!! We met up on Sunday to get his one year shots, and despite the heat and the time of day,  he was SO great! All smiles, we had so much fun walking around Hermann Park with him.  It got a little windy for the balloons, but those turned out to be some of my favorite shots! And of course, his parents dressed him in the most adorable outfits!! Happy (early) birhthday, Ryder!!! Thanks again Jessica and Sam- you have such a beautiful family!! (oh, and I love the shot of the foursome :)). Enjoy!

Angela- Downtown

I met Angela when I was about 9 years old, back when our conversations consisted of which New Kid we thought was the hottest, and how we were going to crimp our hair! :) A lot has changed over the years, but I am glad we have still managed to stay in touch despite life.  Angela has lost over 100 pounds (WOOHOO!), and so we thought, what better way to show it off than with some new pics.  She looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g, and we had so much fun taking these pictures, despite the 100 degree weather! Here are a few of my favorites!

Always the Bridesmaid, Never the Bride..Until Now!!!-FREE Bridal/Trash the Dress Session Giveaway Contest!

Getting married? Know someone who is getting married? Already got married but would love to put your dress back on and take some no-stress fun photos? Then read below!!!

Before I got engaged, my best friend and I always talked about how many bridesmaid dresses we had hanging in our closet, and how many weddings we had been in over the years.  We probably could have written the movie 27 Dresses! Though it is an honor, and a lot of fun (usually), it is a lot of work being a bridesmaid!! So, it is a pretty awesome feeling once you are finally the BRIDE!!

In honor of reaching 100 fans on my Ever After Facebook page, and my birthday being a week from today, I have decided to have a little contest.  Here is the deal:

The prize: a 2 hour, on location (Houston or near vicinity) Bridal or Trash the Dress photo shoot!!
How to enter:
-You must first "like" my Ever After facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ever-After-Photography/137306852992312)
-Next, post a picture of yourself as a Bridesmaid, in your bridesmaid dress (ugly, funny, silly, can't believe you agreed to wear it, dress...) to the Ever After Photography Facebook page.
-Then, get as many people as possible to "like" your photo!
-The person with the most "likes" will win the free photo shoot!
-The deadline for the conest will be August 20, 2011 at 6:00pm.  The winner will be announced on Sunday, August 21st.

The RULES:
- The person who posts the picture, must be the one who does the photo shoot.
-In order for someone to like your photo, the person must first "like" the Ever After Photography Facebook page.  Otherwise, there vote will not count. Comments also do not count.
-The free photo shoot must be either a bridal or trash the dress session
-If there is a tie, then I will repost the final photos and allow my page fans to choose!
-The free shoot must be redeemed before 12/31/2011, and it must be done in Houston (or within 30 mile radius- sorry to all my Detroit and Chicago fans! :))
-And last of all, no hurt feelings- this is all in fun.  Anything in appropriate will be removed from the page and disqualified.
