Veronica+Matt {Chicago Engagements}

Everyone meet Veronica and Matt!

I can't remember exactly when I first met Veronica, but it had to have been close to 9 years ago, and it was probably at an Aggie Happy Hour. Its been a long time since our days of Aggie Happy Hours, and our girls trips to South Padre and Cancun! :) I was SO excited when I found out that Veronica was engaged, and can not even express to you how excited I was when she asked me to be their wedding photographer. Ever After Photography in Chicago? YES! It just so happened that I was able to go up for a short trip and do their engagement photos. I got to meet Matt for the first time, and immediately I could tell these two were head over heels. Happiness and smitten was written all over their faces just in the short time we were together. Chicago is such an amazingly beautiful city, and we could not have asked for me perfect weather. It was GORGEOUS. High of 76 and no humidity? Ill take that any day over the Houston summers we have. I only wish that we had more time, and could have explored the city more. BUT, I will be back next Memorial Day to shoot their wedding and I can not WAIT!

Congrats again you two, and I can't wait for the wedding! Thanks for letting me be part of such a special time in your life!

Collin Turns 1!!

You may remember this cutie, as I did Collin's 9 month photos at Hermann Park just a few months ago. I showed up to Collin's birthday party a little early so we could get some 1 year photos before all his friends showed up. In the backyard waiting was a red wagon, and balloons- what more could a 1 year old boy ask for? Well, Collin's mom told me that they had gotten him a "big" teddy bear, and they wanted me to get pictures of him seeing it for the first time because he loooooves teddy bears. So, I had my camera on Collin as his dad brought out this teddy bear. Boy was I shocked when I finally saw the bear!!! (You will see below). Collin was just ecstatic, and he hugged and kissed and talked to the teddy bear! It was so cute and sweet, and definitely made his day.

Oh, and I must mention the cake. They sat it in front of him, and before I could get the words "you may have to help him and put his hand in it", Collin was digging in to the cake all by himself! He didn't waste any time! :) Collin and his friends and family had a great time at his party, and I was so glad to be able to capture it.

Happy Birthday, Collin!!!
