We started off the day at Hotel Icon, which just so happens to be on of my favorite hotels in Houston. Leslie and Glen wanted to do their first look there, and even though the weather was not wanting to be cooperative, we were able to do it anyway and get some beautiful shots inside the hotel before heading to the wedding venue.
The ceremony and reception were at Rainbow Lodge in Houston. If you have never been there, go. It's beautiful and the food was AH-MA-ZING!
The weather cooperated just in time to have the ceremony outside as planned and it was beautiful!
Favorites:
-Pics at the bar at Hotel Icon. Shot everyone? Why not!!
-The first look. Gets me every time!
-The brides dress!!!!! It was blue, it was gorgeous, and it was made by her mother. Just wow.
-Instead of a grooms cake, they had a "cheese cake". Each layer of the cake was a different kind of cheese. BRILLIANT. If you love cheese, you would have been all over this one.
-Everyone got a wine bottle that the bride and groom wanted them to open on their 1 year anniversary to celebrate.
-So there is always that one guy at the reception. You know the one. Always on the dance floor bustin' out the moves. But THIS guy- well apparently he went to Juliard school of dance. Seriously. He had some moves too!
-At the end of the night, they cleared out the room, and the bride and groom had a dance alone to a song in honor of the bride's dad who had passed away. I really tried not to cry. It was a beautiful moment.
