Ok, last blog post for the night, and until I get back from Dallas. Except for my 2013 weddings, I'm pretty much caught up on blog posts. WOOHOO! :)
Anyway, meet Cassandra and Greg. They agreed to meet me very EARLY on a Saturday morning before anyone had caffeine due to some scheduling difficulties. Not to mention it felt like January in April. We won't even get started on the weather lately.
When these two got in front of the camera none of that mattered. They were definitely jokesters, which is definitely my style! We had so much fun walking around, and making Greg run back and forth to the car to get stuff for Cassandra. haha.
These two are getting married later this year at Tin Hall and I can't wait!

Eve+Mike Engagements {Downtown Houston}
Everyone meet Eve and Mike!
These two are getting married later this summer, so we set out downtown to get their engagement photos! The original plan was to start at Sam Houston Park, but downtown construction apparently had another plan. So we went to Market Square, and had some fun in that area, and then headed to a more urban part of downtown to end the shoot.
This couple was fabulous and had so much chemistry, I basically just stood back and snapped away. They were naturals, and their bliss was just oozing in the images! I had so much fun with these two and I even allowed Mike to put on his longhorn shirt for a few shots. It hurt me, and I was afraid my camera may shut down, but it all worked out. :)
Can't wait for the wedding!

Keegan! {Tomball Museum District}
Everyone meet the adorable Keegan! I have known this little one and his mom since he was just a baby, so I was excited to finally get to do some pictures of him. He is quite the character! His mom, Kalista, just so happens to be an amazing hairdresser (and recently put Keratin treatment in my hair, which turned out AH-MA-ZING!), so if you need your hair done, you should definitely go see her!
Anyway, the reality of photography with kids is that it's not always giggles and smiles. You see the final images, but you don't always see the fits, crying, bribing, parents dancing and jumping up and down hysterically in the hopes of getting just ONE smile. It happens, and it happens often. Parents will often apologize to me for their child's behavior, and I reassure them and smile, because its nothing to apologize for. They are just kids. They all go through the age where they want to run and play, and posing for pictures is not in their agenda. Which is why I prefer more photojournalistic types of images, and enjoy chasing them and catching them laughing and playing. This was definitely one of those days. Mr. Keegan was just not in the mood. But SOMEHOW I managed to get some smiles and laughs out of him, and loved watching him just play, and do what boys do- jump, and run, and throw leaves, and make funny faces. And while I know it probably wasn't very funny to his mom at the time, I know some day she will look back and love the silly faces just as much as the smiling faces. :)

Leslie+Glen Engagements {The Heights + Downtown Houston}
Everyone meet Leslie and Glen!
They are getting married later this year at the Rainbow Lodge, so we decided to head out for some engagement photos before it started getting too hot!
We started out in the Heights, and of course had to make a stop at the playground! Not only did we stop there but Glen wanted to get down on one knee and reach up toward Leslie who was at the top of the castle! As if this wasnt sweet enough, there was a toddler girl in the park who was just enamored by these two and stood there in awe of them. SO. CUTE! These two are just too cute, and so full of love. Another couple with some awesome chemistry!
We ended the evening downtown near the Wortham Center on a gorgeous night!
These two definitely kept me laughing, and I can't wait for their upcoming wedding!

Wendy+Jon Engagements {Kemah Boardwalk, a dog named Grimm, and a little video game playing...}
Everyone meet Wendy and Jon!
Where do I even begin with this one? I should have known it was going to be good when they waited for me to chug a tall double espresso caramel machiatto before we got started even though I was running late due to traffic/parking issues!
It was a gorgeous day on the Kemah Boardwalk, and these two ROCKED their entire session. This couple had so much chemistry, they made my job a piece of cake. Jon is quite the character, and basically kept Wendy laughing and smiling throughout the entire session.
Cool points #1? There was something about Jon's facial expressions that reminded me of Leonardo DiCaprio. I mentioned this to him, and of course he thought I was crazy. But then minutes later, he and Wendy are reenacting the scene from Titanic. That was just the beginning. :)
Cool points #2? When we were leaving the Boardwalk and walking back to our cars, Jon stopped at a rose bush on the side of the sidewalk, and picked a rose for Wendy. She said he was just showing off, but nevertheless, I thought it was sweet. :)
So, we went back to their apartment that just so happens to be off the water in Seabrook, and did some shots out on their pier. Gorgeous!!!
Cool points #3-100? We ended the session by not only getting some shots with their awesome dog Grimm, BUT they changed into super mario tshirts, harry potter shoes, their own headphones, and played some video games! LOVED IT! This is something they do often as a couple which is something I always encourage incorporating into a session. SO. MUCH. FUN!
Congrats again you two love birds! I am looking forward to the wedding next year!

Emily Turns 1! {Old Town Spring}
Everyone meet Emily! Although I did some photos of her and her parents just before the holidays, this is her first appearance on the blog! Miss Emily is going to be having a ladybug birthday party, and she has got to be the cutest little lady bug I have ever seen! And those EYES. She has the most beautiful eyes and contagious smile. And her parents are oh so crazy about her- their love and adornment of her always shines through in their photos. I am in love with just about every image from this session, but I couldn't blog them all. :) Happy birthday Emily!!!
